This course is for people aspiring to manage horse enterprises such as studs, stables and equestrian centres. It emphasises effective management methods and problem solving. Students develop their technical skills in areas such as nutrition, behaviour, health genetics and reproduction. Students are brought into close contact with experts from the field such as veterinarians, nutritionists and researchers.

Applicants must have satisfactorily completed an approved Year 12 course of study or its equivalent, or be mature age. Applicants should have appropriate skills, and experience in the horse industry is desirable.
